Engineers built the BLK2GO PULSE in collaboration with Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (Sony), the global leader in image sensors. The BLK2GO PULSE combines Sony’s advanced Time-of-Flight (ToF) image sensors with Leica Geosystems’ GrandSLAM technology. This creates the world’s first dual ToF handheld scanner.

With its release planned in early 2024, the BLK2GO PULSE will add a new, unique, and disruptive member to the BLK2GO product family. Users primarily utilize the BLK2GO PULSE for indoor applications such as creating 3D digital twins and 2D floor plans.

DUAL TIME-OF-FLIGHT SENSORS

BLK2GO PULSE uses a special scanning method called solid state Time-of-Flight (ToF) LiDAR. This system sends out laser pulses from the scanner many times each second. This pulse of thousands of simultaneous laser points delivers a uniform point cloud instantly.

The BLK2GO PULSE provides data that you can use, share, and upload to the cloud right after capturing it. Upload your data to Reality Cloud Studio. HxDR powers our cloud-based app for visualization, collaboration, and storage. This app allows for real-time automated registration and meshing.

The dedicated BLK Live companion app provides first-person perspective and control of the BLK2GO PULSE. It is where you see what the scanner sees. The BLK Live app on your smartphone instantly receives colourised point clouds, requiring no post-processing.
